ביוגרפיה

המפתחות לצוללת (ששמם שאול לדבריהם מתעלול הילדים שבו מעירים בפאניקה את הנמתח באמצע הלילה ושואלים איפה המפתחות לצוללת...) החלה את דרכה בסביבות 2002, כאשר דניאל עוז  (באס), יוצא להקה לא מוכרת בשם Grandmaster Bator, עבר מערד לתל-אביב והכיר את שרון לוי (קלידים) דרך חבר משותף. רועי בר יהודה (סקסופון, חבר באנרגיה חולנית) הצטרף לאחר שענה למודעת דרושים אותה פירסם דניאל בבי"ס רימון למוסיקה ברמת השרון. אגב, המטרה הראשונית היתה להקים הרכב רוק מטורלל, לכן המודעה הזכירה שמות כקפטיין ביפהארט, דאוס ו-Pere Ubu. השלים את הליין-אפ הראשוני אסף קורן על הגיטרה.

עמדת הגיטרה והתופים נותרו בעייתיות ועברו בה מוסיקאים מתחלפים. ההרכב התקבע על מוסיקת ג'אז ופיוז'ן מעורב ברוק מתקדם, כאשר את עמדת הגיטרה אייש לבסוף אורי בן צבי (סימפוזיון). ב-2005 נפרד שרון לוי מהלהקה ואסף פינקלשטיין החליפו. הרכב זה, מתוגבר בקונטרבאסיסט אדם בן עזרא (חבר ב-Right on Time וניגן עם אליזט ומעיין הירשביין) ובמתופף גיל אידן (חבר בלהקות הרוק המתקדם סוסיתא ואגרול), נכנס לאולפן בסתיו אותה שנה והקליט את אלבום הבכורה, "ברצינות רגע" שיצא ב-2007. באלבום מתארחים אגדת הג'אז אלברט בגר (חליל וסקסופון) והמשוררת מאיה בז'רנו (כלת פרס ביאליק ופרס ברנשטיין), המקריאה יצירות פרי עטה.
